Job Description:
As the Sr Director of the Hybrid Cloud Specialists group, you will utilize strong sales and GTM competencies, management and leadership skills to set objectives and develop strategies for NetApp to succeed with its hybrid cloud solutions. This challenging, high impact and highly visible position provides leadership and management oversight to the Sales and Pathway development Managers of the Hybrid Cloud Specialists team within the Emerging Products group. You will be responsible for developing both the strategy and tactics needed to achieve sales and GTM objectives.
This position will directly manage 3 teams: the hybrid cloud sales team, the hybrid cloud pathway development team and the SP.next business development team. The role & each team have global responsibility and must closely collaborate with NetApp s GEO-based sales & channel/partner teams.

The candidate must be extremely results driven, be able to balance strategic and operational excellence, be a customer focused sales leader and skilled at building relationships.

Provide strategic direction and operational oversight to the hybrid cloud teams
Be an active contributor to, and champion of, NetApp s cloud strategy
Have the ability to consistently translate strategy into operational plans & results
Be an excellent operations leader and a champion for meeting expectations and results
Be a senior leader at NetApp who is a public voice for hybrid cloud
Build a consistently strong team

Job Requirements

Requirements

Proven leadership of a sales and pathway development teams
Strong GTM skills beyond traditional sales roles; experience in running a specialists/overlay team a big plus
Strong working knowledge of the Cloud ecosystem and the leading products/technologies driving that space
Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage conflict; experience with early stage products/markets a big plus
Proven understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems

Management

This level of manager successfully manages subordinate level managers and effectively interacts with senior leadership across the company.
The scope of responsibility for this person includes making final decisions on administrative or operational matters ensuring achievement of company-wide objectives and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet requirements.
Has responsibility for overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expenses and recommending implementing changes to methods.
This individual owns the GTM deliverables for the hybrid cloud segment with full responsibility for directing and controlling activities with outcomes, including resources needed outside of the direct team.

Interaction

This individual must effectively work with, and influence, senior leaders across the company and/or major customers & partners.
The interactions of this individual require strong people skills, such as negotiating with customers or management, or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters on an organizational level.
Receives Senior Management review of objectives to determine success.

Education and Experience

Education & Experience

5+ years experience in a Director level leadership role, preferably sales/GTM related
A minimum of 10 years of experience as a people manager
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science; or equivalent experience is required. A Master of Science Degree in Engineering, or an MBA is preferred.
