Senior Director - Content Creative - NBC Universal - Los Angeles


Job description
Responsibilities
The Sr. Director of Content Creative will lead a small team that will work across marketing, programming and marketing solutions to concept, design, strategize and produce high quality, innovative content. This fantastic, trail blazing role will role will be responsible for creative, project management and building new work flow within the team, across network departments and with collaborative vendors. This position will report to the VP, Creative Engagement.


Responsibilities To Include, But Not Limited To

Manage a diverse team of on air, design and production creative
Write/Produce/Cut concepts and spots for show launches, current shows, and advertiser-sponsored campaigns
Experience leading conceptual design and production management
Write/Produce/Cut short-form content, sizzle reels, and image spots
Make champagne spots on a beer budget. Correction—water budget!
Strong and solid writing talent
Skilled in edit bays; experienced with graphics
Experience working effectively within a team, with excellent communication
Guide and collaborate with the avid editor
Oversee the hiring process of production crews and advise on technical decisions for camera equipment
Assist in the creation and adjustments of shoot schedules and budgets
Use Dashbox to find great library music
Hire and direct production of original music with a composer
Direct smaller scale shoots
Cast and direct talent, on camera and VO
Conceptualize, shoot, edit and produce on new and emerging desktop, mobile and app based platforms
Operate camera on some shoots; DP other shoots
Be the Digital Tech for importing and backing up camera data during shoot
Supervise Color correction
Operate 5D/smaller cameras for behind the scenes and some smaller shoots
Advise on post production formats, codecs, and other digital format details

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 7 year’s experience in TV on air promotion, design, digital, advertising, production or film school
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with cameras, lens and all aspects of shoot production
Experience with creating content in the digital and mobile space
