Senior Director Executive Communications Oracle Redwood City

Job Description:
This position directly supports the executive communications needs of SVP, Head of Global Cloud at Oracle. The position will closely partner with the Global Cloud SVP as well as with our most senior leadership worldwide to develop and execute impactful internal and external communications strategies.
The person in this role must be a credible, experienced communications strategist, who has previously worked with a CXO for a F500 company and senior executives supporting large, complex organization.
Candidates must possess the ability to develop and execute successful communications strategies and programs that are aligned to the business needs of the company.
In this role, you will:
Serve as a communications adviser and strategist to the SVP and other senior executive(s) in support of enterprise-wide business goals and strategies
Apply business knowledge and communications expertise to develop and lead communications strategies that advance enterprise-wide business objectives
Develop integrated communication plans for CXO- level external/internal programs, and initiatives, including communications positioning, messaging, and tactics
Be the point of contact on SVP communications plan recommendations with Investor Relation, Analyst Relation, Press Relations, Government Relations and others
Oversee the screening and recommendation of speaking opportunities for the SVP as well as orchestrate and manage the pipeline of SVP speaking engagements, including evaluating the opportunities, collaborating with internal subject matter experts, and coordinating with the broader team
Write strategic communication plans and creative briefs, research and analyze information, write articles and prepare presentations (PowerPoint presentations, speeches, press releases, articles, and talking points).
Plan logistics, and manage overall coordination of various activities related to the SVP in conjunction with the team to deliver on communications and events
Drive communication programs and initiatives involving multiple business areas and targeting broad-based internal and external audiences.
Engage and coordinate across executive stakeholders and subject-matter experts to ensure strategic business objectives are supported through integrated communications programs that represent stakeholder perspectives and meet business needs.
Conduct appropriate needs assessment and audience analysis to support effective development of communications programs and materials
Select the most appropriate methods and channels to deliver SVP communications
Own and execute strategy for Global Cloud Business Group presence on Oracle Internal web portal, in collaboration with Business Operations and web production teams
Own and drive SVP’s social media strategy across all major platforms including Linkedin, Twitter, and YouTube.
Travel per business needs (up to 25%)
Desired Skills and Experience
Preferred Qualifications
BA in marketing, media, journalism or related field
MBA or MA preferred in communications or related field
10 years+ experience in (internal and external) business communications or Press Relations working with CXOs/Senior level executives.

Experience managing enterprise-wide communications across large, complex organizations
Experience working across internal and external communications with a strong understanding of how they influence each other.
Experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations writing and editing.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrated ability to plan and manage complex projects, ability to work effectively with team members and senior executives under tight deadlines
Must have a good understanding of Oracle’s business and technology as well as of the ecosystem (competitor landscape, etc.)
Must be well organized, thoughtful, proactive and assertive
