Job Description:
The Marketing Strategy Director, Cloud and Service Providers, is responsible for driving higher revenue and profit growth for Schneider Electric by facilitating the marketing strategy for data center cloud and service providers, focused on contributing to the overall business strategy through deep customer insight, animation of the brand in targeted audiences, and increased demand generation and pipeline acceleration in strategic accounts as well as the overall global segment.
Position is responsible within the IT Business for analyzing market, customer, competitive actions with past results; developing a cross-BU marketing strategy and animating a global marketing network on the planning and execution of marketing within targeted accounts and vertical segment. Furthermore, this position feeds the overall campaign development process, working with global marketing, by providing the necessary strategy and inputs, guidance and follow through to ensure the greatest return on marketing objectives and investment. This is accomplished through annual and quarterly planning of our global marketing strategy, marketing mix, and programs targeting data center cloud and service providers.



Responsible for driving one portfolio of integrated campaign materials and strategy (marketing campaigns/programs, channel campaigns, and sales tools assets) to enable all countries to select from based on their Integrated Figure of Merit (iFOM) rankings. This includes facilitating the segmenting and mapping of segments, current and future served available market opportunity for Business Unit solutions versus our current position with global marketing, obtaining the strategic value of each market from Corp Strategy, and driving our country-input probability of success formula from within each zone across assigned segments and verticals via annual workshops process and orchestrating the cross-functional launch of campaigns.



Essential Functions

Define and drive the launch of global segment marketing campaign portfolio for segments, including relative spend and mix guidance by market and segment, development of global marketing campaign playbooks, key measurements, and our iterative response across Schneider Electric. Frequent interaction and input with customers, Solutions VP's, lines of business, sub-regional strategic marketing, and countries is required as inputs to development of campaigns and segment plans.


Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to rank relative opportunities to reach LOB, zone, and corporate objectives based on return on investment, strategic value, and probability of success.


Produce an ongoing demographic profile of customer segments to determine top channels, influencers, decision-makers, information sources, industry events, and associations in each segment through VOC and 3rd party research.


Identify key business/technology/purchase drivers across segments and verticals to refine and better target existing LOB value prop. & build playbooks for use globally.


Develop and orchestrate go-to-market marketing recipe and optimal mix based of on data-driven buyer profiles, and channel maps to rapidly gain share in new profitable areas.

Execute marketing and voice of customer research/insight using both quantitative and qualitative research methods for target horizontal and vertical customer segments


Develop customer journey map and Schneider Electric content strategy along the journey


Work with sales tools/enablement teams to drive fully integrated campaigns across sales and marketing

Launch defined marketing campaigns, product launches, and competitive responses across global marketing, business units and geographies


Communicate campaign guidance on a quarterly basis, sense trends, new product opportunities across regions and bubble up to LOB's and test new go-to-market marketing recipes.

Working with Regional Marketing and Marketing Operations team, developing a process of cadence and governance of closed loop marketing measurement and segment marketing metrics to monitor and track progress.


Assess ROI across all functions and scale successes and reduce lower ROI activities


Drive Plan, Do, Check, Act loop & prioritization for product launch and marketing program development process.


Educate Schneider Electric internally and orchestrate the go-to-market marketing plans cross-functionally.

Education – Minimum Level Required

Bachelor’s Degree



Experience – Minimum Level Required

7-10 years experience in similar marketing role for IT or ET company



Knowledge And Skills – Minimum Level Required

Proven experience working in matrix environment and working in diverse organizations

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong presentation skills

Ability to preform well under pressure.

Work with interdepartmental teams.

Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills

Experience with data center, cloud and service provider customers (Internet Giants, Colocation, Telcom)
