Job Description:
Directs highly diverse team in the development and creation of the financial, technical, and commercial framework of the deal. Leads client development efforts from concept through completion. This team is responsible for the negotiation of favorable prices, terms and conditions of major contracts while ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations. Supports the preparation of major proposals including coordinating efforts of all involved parties. Works closely with team and the sales group to determine the scope, objective, sales messages, and solution that makes up a proposed solution.
Ensures compliance of proposals within defined negotiating boundaries, to maximize companies possible financial outcome. Responsible for overseeing the value proposition, business case, negotiation, pricing, and terms & conditions. The primary focus of this job is to manage the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in the department who coordinate the sales process, working with all the key players, to deliver a proposal to the client that will secure the contract. Supports the team by communicating and resolving problems with internal support groups such as sales teams, proposal team, product development team, and finance/costing team. Briefs leadership on proposals and negotiations and establishes negotiation objectives. Manages activities of a broad functional area through first level managers and exempt specialists. Has overall responsibility for developing and administering budgets, schedules, and performance standards for the organizational unit. Participates in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the organization.

Required Skills And Experience
8 to 10 years of relevant work experience
Must have proven experience with pre-sales negotiations
Must have experience with complex pricing and cost analyses
Must have experience with sales proposal development
Must have proven success working with cross functional teams
Experience with pre-sales negotiations involving complex pricing arrangements
Experience with complex contracts with proven knowledge of legal & regulatory requirements
Team oriented - ability to work well with diverse, cross-functional teams
Supervisory experience
Excellent analytical skills
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to perform in a quickly changing, time-sensitive environment with great attention to detail
Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills needed

Desired Skills, Experience And Education
10 or more years in a similar role supporting same industry
Bachelors Degree in a Financial Discipline; Finance, Accounting, etc.
MBA
