Director Brand Sales Universal Hosiery New York City

Job Description:
As Brand & Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing all product groups from creation of category, concept, design and development, planning and go-to-market and life cycle management. You must have a strong pulse on the market and competition in order to identify opportunities.
Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Limited To The Following
Create, develop, implement and execute short-term and long-term strategies with key management teams aimed at growing the brands.
Identify future opportunities and develop comprehensive business plans to maximize the revenue potential of each brand.
Develop product requirements and communicate product vision for ongoing releases and new product opportunities.
Develop effective marketing strategies and business plan including range plan, line plan, margin targets and creative briefing.
Analyze competitive landscape and user segmentation to develop a strong product roadmap.
Establish processes for management of product requirements throughout product lifecycle.
Work with existing and future clientele to better understand their customer’s needs, thereby improving sell-throughs.
Manage a team of employees with regard to their daily schedules, developmental plans and report directly to the Vice President and President.
Provide creative direction to Design Team.
Responsible for sales tracking, trend analysis, future trend forecasting and trailblazing.
Organize direct to consumer events and trunk shows to test new markets or product lines.

Collaboration
Work as a liaison between senior designer, sales team, production and VP/President.
Partner with the PR and eCommerce Teams to ensure that social media outlets are supported with upcoming products through cross-promotions and new content. Also work with both teams to increase the brand awareness.
Work with web designers in creating visual merchandise web content.

Qualifications
MUST BE WILLING TO RE-LOCATE TO LOS ANGELES, CA.
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Fashion Merchandising or any related field.
Must have at least 5 years of brand management and sales experience in the apparel and/or fashion industry.
Must have an excellent grasp of the current and future fashion trends and colors.
Must have the ability to direct and manage Universal Hosiery's fashion design team in conceptualizing, designing and developing sock and hosiery collections, from start to finish.
Must be highly motivated, self-directed, organized and persistent, capable of following through on multiple projects to meet strict deadlines.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and its customers in a professional manner.
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be very proficient in developing and launching effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
