Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. A master juggler working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to tackle big picture challenges.
Sales Finance is part of Google’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization, providing financial and analytical support to Google’s business organization. Our work is integral to the operations and strategic decision-making of the commercial teams across all our advertising products. From understanding market and usage trends to exploring the productivity and returns on our various investments, the Finance organization is an important partner and adviser to the commercial leaders. In this role, you will manage a team that provides Finance support to sales leadership and partner with the AMER Small- and Medium-sized Business (SMB) executive and management team, driving decisions around resource allocation and business growth, management.

The name Google came from ""googol,"" a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities
Provide thought leadership and influence executive level decision making through financial analysis.
Develop new ways of modeling to unlock actionable insights or improve financial processes for SMB Finance.
Partner with leaders in sales organization to understand drivers of business growth and drive monetization of Google’s properties.
Provide executives with clear insights into drivers of business growth, risks, and opportunities.
Engage cross-functional and geo finance teams to drive scalable analyses, tools and insights.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred qualifications:
MBA.
Analytical work experience in high data volume environments in software, internet, media, telecoms or service industries.
Database, automation or business intelligence skills.
Organized, strategically focused, detail oriented, and able to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
Team player; willing to help out other team members as necessary while promoting positive morale.
Good business judgment and confidence to communicate effectively with business partners.
