Position supervises a team of 20 technical resources responsible for providing SAP technical system solutions in a hosted and primarily virtual environment. Team includes both employees and contractors. Technical generalist skills required to assist team members with project planning, delivery, and subsequent production support. Underlying supported technologies include Linux and Windows operating systems and various database technologies such as Oracle, SQL server, Sybase and DB2. Position acts as a point person for SAP COE team members and an escalation contact for customers and partner organizations. Optimal candidate would have experience with enterprise software, platform, database, network, storage, leadership, and project management.
The position interviews and selects employees, maintains proper staffing levels, allocates resources, supervises teams daily operations, productivity, identifies areas for improvement, develops action plans to improve performance, develops teams technical and managerial expertise through on-the-job and formal training opportunities, enforces Company policies, takes necessary disciplinary action, evaluates individual performance for annual performance review, merit increases, promotions and other employment status changes, and conducts long-range planning for the team.
Education:
Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, or Math
Experience:
Typically requires 8-10 years of experience.
