We are looking for a strategic and passionate communicator for the Sr. Director of Employee Communications, to provide communications counsel and services to senior business leaders in Technology and Risk.
As The Sr. Director Of Employee Communications, You Will Support Visa’s Head Of Global Employee Communications In Developing Strategic And Dynamic Employee Communications Programs That Will Enable Visa To Achieve Its Goal Of Being The Employer Of Choice In The Industry. The Successful Candidate Will Understand Changing Employee Communications Trends, Practices And Principles.
He/she Will Provide Communications Counsel And Services To Senior Business Unit Leaders In Technology And Risk– Assisting Them To Create And Execute Programs That Help Employees In Technology And Risk Feel Engaged, Knowledgeable And Empowered In Their Roles. Role Responsibilities
Serve as key partner and counselor to business unit executives for all related internal communications efforts ensuring frequent, transparent and impactful communications to their departments.
Build comprehensive internal communications programs that help employees within a business unit to understand the goals, programs, processes, organizational structure and vision of their unit leader.
Manage internal executive visibility for business unit leaders including development of internal blogs and business updates
Create steady stream of multi-media content that helps employees understand what is happening within their business unit and in the broader Visa organization (organizational updates, videos, presentations etc.)
Plan and execute internal events including all-staff meetings, speaker series programs, and other employee engagement events
Create and manage a central repository for business unit communications
Manage an ongoing communications calendar
Monitor employee engagement through pulse research efforts and work with the business to develop strategies to address issues identified in the survey
Partner with colleagues driving external communications to ensure message alignment and consistency – and to generate new content ideas
Assist regional communicators to support effective execution of communication strategies in markets.
Develop content on an ongoing basis for Visa’s global employee intranet around business unit news, launches, organizational changes, employee spotlights, etc.
Requirements
12+ years of experience in employee communications, preferably for a global enterprise; with the ability to understand complex business issues
Experience in a technology-driven organization and/or focused on communicating to an employee population of technologists and engineers
Demonstrated ability to create holistic employee communications programs that span engagement, advocacy, content creation, social platforms, event management, research and measurement and more.
Excellent communicator with strong writing and presentation skills
Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
Skilled in working with all employee communications apps and platforms (e.g. PowerPoint, Intranets, collaboration tools, social listening, blogs, video, photography etc.)
Self-starter, who is nimble, flexible and comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change quickly
Knowledgeable and comfortable in the area of data and analytics
