Job Description:
This position is responsible for launching and leading strategic initiatives, managing, improving and maintaining HCA's products, programs (both internal and external), pricing and incentives in order to maximize sales efficiency and meet other company objectives. The position requires exceptional analytical skills and the ability to work under limited supervision in a team environment. The team leader should be able to work effectively with other functional areas, representing the Product Development/Sales Planning department to continuously improve products, programs, pricing and incentives. The team leader is responsible for initiation, prioritization, and tracking all departmental pricing, product and sales planning initiatives/projects.
This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to produce and present executive level presentations. Ideally, the team leader should have experience working with and designing programs for a captive finance company or other automotive finance company.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Leads sales initiatives. Develops consensus for enhancements to programs throughout HCA and with the OEMs. Responsible for supporting recommendations for programs, products and processes that are to be shared with HCA executives.
2. Responsible for identifying, assigning and managing resources to complete HCA/OEM projects and initiatives. Reports to executive management associated timelines and project updates.
3. Leads a team of Managers and Analysts. Responsible for the development and training of team members.
4. Interfaces with Risk, Finance, Marketing, IT and all other departments to develop and recommend new products, projects and programs. Responsible for tracking the status of all applicable projects, programs and initiatives and summarizing the results into executive reports.
5. Complete ad-hoc assignments and reporting as requested by management and/or executives.
6. Manage design of KPIs, budgets, and sales strategies ( i.e. dealer segmentation).
7. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, must understand technical terms related to retail, lease, and commercial financing. Must be able to communicate complex terms and concepts to executive management both visually (PowerPoint) and in writing. Consulting experience a plus.
* Superior execution skills complemented by analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills.
* Expert level knowledge of automotive industry and understanding of retail, lease and commercial financing.
* Exceptional attention to detail and quality.
* Strong orientation toward results coupled with reputation for integrity, creativity and good judgment.
* Must have the ability to challenge, when appropriate, existing practices.
* Must have the ability to partner with others to ensure collaboration across departments, functions and teams.
* Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills are required. Must also have good skills utilizing Excel, Access and Word. MS Project experience helpful.
Education and Experience:
* 10+ years of product development and pricing experience with an auto finance, mortgage, credit card or banking organization.
* 7+ years of management and supervisory experience.
* Experience with leading, driving and implementing initiatives at the corporate level.
* Captive finance / auto experience preferred.
* Major consulting firm / auto industry experience a plus.
* Bachelor's degree required. BA/BS Marketing / Sales Management / Business (or equivalent work experience to substitute for education) from a highly rated school; MBA a plus but not required.
