Director Prospect Marketing American Express New York City

Job Description:
The Direct Marketing team is a significant contributor of new Consumer Card Members into the American Express franchise. The team is dedicated to delivering best in class marketing treatments to grow American Express Card Members and increase their engagement and overall spend.
The Director, Prospect Marketing will own the end-to-end Prospect direct mail and email channels for all Consumer Card products. This individual will lead a team of 7 people and manage a large marketing budget with the goal of driving new spend growth and improving ROI for the channel. This role is a key contributor to driving revenue results for the business.

· Channel ownership of the Prospect Direct Mail and Email channels including drive to web experiences.

· Set the overall channel strategy for driving profitable acquisitions; including robust test and learn plans, creative, offer, segmentation, as well as utilizing risk and finance levers.

· Develop and lead cross functional initiatives to drive innovation and improve efficiency in the channel. This includes new capabilities, process improvements, and contact strategy.

· Lead and inspire a team of managers and analysts

· Work directly with Risk Management, Finance, Creative Agencies and internal acquisition partners to drive bottom line metrics

· Proven ability to manage and deliver against multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

· Ability Manage relationships and influencing change across significant initiatives and diverse teams

· Proven ability to lead and develop people

· Prior segmentation, acquisition and marketing experience highly desirable

Educational Requirement

· Bachelors Degree

· Masters or Advanced degree preferred but not essential
