As an integral part of the new "Adobe Platform and Developers” organization, the Director of Product Management will be responsible for planning and executing the vision of the next generation cloud platform for Adobe - the foundation of the Adobe Creative, Marketing and Document Cloud. This position requires customer focus, technical depth, strategic discipline as well as excellent communication skills. You will work closely with senior leadership, engineering, architects, and product managers across the company to drive the complete project lifecycle, which includes gathering and prioritizing product, business & customer requirements, setting the platform vision as well as defining the feature roadmap.
The successful candidate is a proven leader, passionate about advocating for internal and external customers, an effective communicator and problem-solver focused on building scalable and automated cloud solutions. What you’ll do
Build an open, vibrant developer eco-system not only for internal engineering teams but also Adobe partners and developers.
Work with senior management and cloud product teams across the company to identify focus areas and corresponding investments.
Work with engineers and product managers to pursue agreed upon objectives while tracking, prioritizing and communicating top issues.
Build strong partnerships and alignment across the various product teams and the customer success organizations.
Lead by knowing the customer and competitive situations extremely well and using that insight to provide strong multi-year vision for the platform.
Build one of the best product management organizations in support of Adobe’s Platform: recruit, inspire and lead a global team of Product Managers.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you need to succeed
Proven leader with 7+ year experience creating high-performing, inclusive, fun teams
Track record of roadmap definition and execution, with an emphasis on cloud platforms and developer engagement
Demonstrated excellence in the areas of customer insight, strategic thinking, and product innovation
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Excellent communication skills across all levels in a large enterprise company
Experience working with teams that employ agile and open development software development methodologies
Experience with SaaS, PaaS, Web Services and SOAs (REST, SOAP) is considered a big plus
B.S. or M.S. degree (degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is a bonus)
Flexibility to travel (international) to stay in touch with teams and stakeholders
