Director Operations and Supply Chain Strategy Gap Inc. San Francisco

Job Description:
Critical outcomes of the role entail collaboration with key leaders to set the roadmap and define how supply chain capabilities integrate and get sequenced for optimum value. Responsibilities include thought leadership and facilitation to land strategy and operating capability development. This role is highly collaborative working across our brands, supply chain and operations, product management, advanced analytics and strategy teams. This role manages approximately 8 individuals including the teams focused on macro-economic modeling, new market growth capability and Supply Chain Strategy.
Essential duties and responsibilities:

As a key member of the team, drive cross functional projects to support supply chain optimization. This includes driving the project management, thought leadership, solution innovation and change management.
Own benchmarking and market intelligence.
Lead the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives and the processes, tools and systems needed to support them.
Independently develop and refine project scope, structure, and approach. Identify key issues, guide and execute analysis, develop conclusions, and present findings to members of the leadership team.
Anticipate roadblocks, both intellectual and political, and proactively address issues before they impact business results.
Identifying process improvement opportunities, key issues, development of conclusions and implementation plans supported with qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Proactively foster brand and business partner relationships to partner on analytics and processes.
Develop knowledge of tools and systems that impact supply chain.
Own and manage projects or key assignments as relates to larger initiatives, including identification of key issues, analysis, development of hypotheses and conclusions and presentation of findings.
Prepare presentation documents and update to all levels of management.

Minimum experience:

10 years minimum preferred of experience in strategy/management consulting, retail/consumer products or similar analytic role. MBA from Top Institution strongly preferred.
Experience in e-commerce fulfillment, strategies and transportation highly valued (retail preferred).
Proven and motivational leader with excellent managerial skills
Ability to influence in a matrix organization
Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships
International experience or experience working in a global company and network is strongly preferred.
