Job Description:
The Director of Marketing will be accountable for achieving business, financial and strategic goals for the Large & Mid-size Law firm segment (LMLF), including sales, revenue, retention and market penetration. This position will partner closely with the LMLF sales channels, product marketing, pricing and finance across the LMLF Segment to ensure achievement of business objectives. This person will turn the LMLF strategy and vision into a story that resonates with all audiences, as well as provide marketing support to the channel serving the largest US law firms.

The successful candidate will be an excellent marketing storyteller, collaborator and business driver, with proven success leveraging demand generation, account based marketing, digital and content marketing. As a senior leader, the ideal candidate will take provide coaching, clear direction and compelling motivation to help the LMLF marketing team transform and deliver clear value propositions to customers, superior partnership and support to sales colleagues, and increased sales, revenue and retention for the business.

Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of marketing professionals. Provide direction, feedback/coaching, manage performance and development.
Provide strategic and tactical support to the strategic account executives who serve the AMLAW100 law firms.
Turn the LMLF strategy and vision into a story that resonates with all audiences, and enable effective storytelling with the channel, customers and prospects via all marketing vehicles, e.g., presentations, advertising, white papers, etc.
Drive the transformation of LMLF marketing from product-focused, to customer and demand focused, introducing best practices in strategy, planning, execution and measurement. Create inaugural relationship and workflow with the Demand Gen Center of Excellence, leveraging assets and expertise to achieve LMLF goals.
Deliver best-in-class demand generation, account-based marketing, thought leadership, marketing communications, and industry events to drive segment sales, revenue, retention and penetration goals.
Institutionalize the practice of Account Based Marketing, aligning sales and marketing with focus on the highest value prospects and accounts, and deliver on sales and revenue goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Large Law channel, finance, pricing, product management, product marketing, customer experience, and external organizations and partners.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge And Skills

Four year degree required in marketing, with MBA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years management experience leading teams to achieve business objectives.
Proactive style with discipline and will to set priorities, drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues; successfully manages multiple projects and effective at influencing across all levels.
Significant experience creating successful brand identities and campaigns that build customer trust, adoption and loyalty
Demonstrated ability to drive business outcomes via demand generation marketing and account based marketing
Experience in marketing automation and measurement.
Demonstrated success leading the transformation of a marketing team
Committed leader who takes initiative without being asked; takes pride and personal ownership of team and business unit success
Experience working across a complex, highly matrixed organization, including demonstrated ability to lead those outside of your direct reports
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to motivate, influence and gain commitment
