Job Description:
Position is responsible for digital media management and support of ad operations. This is not a typical client media manager role; position works across multiple areas including: direct international media buying and stewardship of global media deals; reviews local plans; manages central agency resources in preparing POVs on key issues; assists local territories with programmatic buying, first party data management, ad verification, ad serving and related ad operations topics, and social media spending trends. This position also provides strong support for general media department projects including developing, reviewing, and managing marketing budgets for international territories.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages central (global) buys: develops ideas for testing, briefs agencies, and manages execution and post-analysis.
• Manages overall marketing budgets and approves territory plans, including creating greenlight estimates, reviewing territory ad pub submissions, and coordinatng with Distribution colleagues to ensure a profitable ad pub/revenue ratio by territory.
• Interacts weekly with central digital support teams at OMD and Group M.
• Commissions white papers and POVs on current topics of importance to our local plans – manages creation, revisions, and distribution to the field.
• Manages progress of regional digital support team for Latin America.
• Participates in regular conversations with regional leads for digital about local issues and specific plan concerns. Develops relationships with key local digital staff.
• Joins select meetings of the domestic digital team in order to understand overall strategy and find information relevant for sharing widely as it relates to paid digital media.
• Responsible for local plan reviews as needed.
• Coordinates regularly with Domestic Media, International Digital Marketing, and key regional media leads.
• Liaises with staff from Marketing Finance and Distribution on topics of budget levels and profitability to support SVP and Marketing Senior Executives.
• Liaises with regional team in London regarding digital needs for European local plans and regional media plans.
• Regularly meets with Japanese team to review digital plans and provide support from Burbank as required. Attend Japanese media update calls.
• Reviews media plans from China; stays abreast of the local digital media scene to ensure plans are kept current.
• Additional territory focus on Japan and China as required.
• Contributes content (digital strategy and tactics) to the international media strategy documents.
• Attends Burbank-based brainstorming sessions to share ideas and listen to group discussion.
• Investigates ad serving technology and opportunities to improve our trafficking and reporting capabilities; works with digital and servicing team to accomplish this.
• Regularly communicates with key digital media owners – keeping abreast of new developments and shares updates with the field, including monthly updates from Google/YouTube on spending trends, new products, and performance related information.
• Reviews social listening reports and recommends findings to be shared with the local teams or applied to the overall strategy.
• Attends weekly research/media meetings to understand the competitive landscape better.
• Attends European and Australian territory calls – joins the regularly scheduled media calls o hear commentary on and details from the local plans.
Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations or a related field strongly preferred.
• Approximately 5-7 years experience in digital marketing and digital media required in order to help support media plans for promotion of Warner Bros. international films.
• Must have at least 2 years experience with media planning and buying.
• Experience with managing media/advertising costs and developing budgets required.
• Experience directly related to the motion picture industry preferred.
• International marketing experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to analyze and compare assorted types of media advertising.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must be able to review and comprehend detailed documents or instruments.
• Must be able to communicate tactfully and effectively with all levels of personnel, both in person and on the telephone. Must speak and write clearly and effectively.
• Must possess great attention to detail.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to problem solve (within scope of responsibility).
• Must be able to work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
