Job Description:
The retail team within the Solutions Business Unit is looking for a seasoned consultative sales professional to help drive the adoption of SDS’s digital media and analytics solutions for the advertising publisher and mall operator markets. The position’s main role will be to engage with prospective clients to sell our solutions and services driving sales and account management activities from initial prospecting through contract negotiations and closure.
The individual must have direct experience in digital out of home (DOOH) advertising solutions having worked for a general or a venue specific publisher (e.g. Outfront Media, JCDecaux, Captivate), a leading mall operator (e.g. Simon, GGP, Westfield) or a leading digital signage solutions company with industry expertise and strong consultative sales skills. This position represents a key element of the new organization which will deploy, evolve, and support SDS’ global solutions business vision over the coming years.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with internal SDS resources (e.g. marketing, legal, channels, R&D, solutions consultants/business analysts to perform pre-sales feasibility assessments) and external partners to penetrate and develop client accounts
Generate a pipeline of opportunities in new Tier 1 and 2 accounts through personal and professional networks while working closely with marketing on demand creation
Provide guidance on signage standards to regional and global headquarters based on industry knowledge
Actively seek and develop strategic partnership opportunities to enhance offering and market position
Meet or exceed target revenue objectives and contribute to accurate opportunity forecasting
Develop and manage client relationships through the entire sales process to meet account growth objectives after the first sale
Manage each account to specific targets such as revenue, profit, and strategic value to the company
Provide critical expertise in contract negotiations with customers and vendors
Manage account/project specific issues, risks and quality
Provide guidance for responses to RFI/RFP/RFQ’s
Participate in industry events to increase visibility of SDS’ solutions and thought leadership in the DOOH market
Develop and nurture the partnership with the digital signage team at Samsung Electronics on joint opportunities across the advertising ecosystem
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher required
Proven sales track record in the enterprise (B2B)
7+ years in the digital out of home advertising ecosystem (e.g. publisher, mall operator, digital signage solutions vendor, etc.)
Able to build trusting relationship with customers at all level (CXO, middle managers, working level) based on subject matter expertise and SDS offerings
Knowledge of the digital signage software ecosystem and potential partners for future product offerings
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and programs (budget, on-time, quality) and business planning capability
Experience with marketing programs and campaigns
Excellent presentation and communications skills
Team player and well organized
Ability to travel (under 50%)
