Job Description:
Victorias Secret is looking for a strong leader with demonstrated success in digital media and content marketing strategy and execution! The Director of Digital Media and Content Marketing will be responsible for developing the Victorias Secret digital media strategy and delivering on omni-channel goals through paid digital media, affiliate marketing, content optimization (SEO), local search and mobile optimization with the goal to acquire new customers, improve profitability and increase customer share of wallet.
This leader is responsible for development and execution of an omni-channel digital marketing strategy supporting direct response and brand marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Digital Marketing, this seasoned subject matter expert will lead an experienced team of knowledge experts (2 direct reports, with a team of 5), manage annual budget +$34 million, and be responsible for driving profitable business results including new customer acquisition and retention, mobile and emerging marketing strategies, web and retail traffic and delivering on aggressive ROI goals. Strong industry knowledge in digital strategy and budgeting, Paid and Organic Search, Display Media planning and buying, agency management and Affiliate program management with strong business acumen are necessary. The ideal candidate has a track record of leading top digital programs, is able to translate digital metrics into business success, has excellent analytical skills, and has shown proven success with high profile digital programs team management, cross functional partnership and leadership skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define digital marketing strategy, outline objectives and deliver upon deadlines to ensure strategic imperatives are met
Lead a skilled team through development and execution of digital marketing plans, optimize operations, and drive business results
Manage and deliver results against multi-million dollar budget (+$34M annually)
Drive innovation and education for digital marketing by identifying new and emerging tactics and strategies to incorporate into the program.
Collaborate with design, editorial and technical teams to develop best practices and drive program growth
Develop insights and actions based on qualitative and quantitative analytics
Manage agency relationships run RFPs and interface with digital media outlets
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure relevant organizational goals are factored into online advertising projects
Understand technical details that drive successful Digital programs and effectively communicate requirements to Web Operations and Technology teams
Identify new opportunities within natural search and content optimization supporting key business blue chips
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Clear understanding of digital industry best-practices, able to effectively benchmark and pattern the digital portfolio to best-in-class digital marketing programs
Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives. Outstanding strategic and analytical skills, strong experience in optimization and interpreting test results & drawing conclusions with experience in using ad serving, bid management and digital analytics platforms
Demonstrated success in driving projects within cross functional teams including Finance, Merchandising, Store Ops and IT/Ecomm
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), both in articulating his/her ideas and gathering input from key stakeholders
Excellent creative thinking skills and a passion for developing content that is desirable, findable & consumable across numerous platforms and devices
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Innovative thinker able to operate both in strategic capacity, but also with laser-focus on flawless execution

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
7-10 years work experience in Marketing or Ecommerce; experience with digital media budgeting a requirement
Bachelors Degree
Project management experience
Experience in providing financial analysis and presenting information
Experience using Teradata, MicroStrategy or SAS analytical tools a plus
Experience with enterprise level web analytics tools such as Omniture/Coremetrics, DoubleClick, VisualIQ
Proficient experience with Windows based PC environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Text Pad) with strong spreadsheet capabilities
Working web design and development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, DNS, robots, etc.)
Managing a sizeable budget, complex campaigns, driving financial performance, and attaining measurable results through digital media
Success in driving projects within cross functional teams
