Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Director to join the firm’s Compensation and Benefits Tax Consulting Practice. As a Director, your overall responsibility will be to serve as a National Tax Compensation & Benefits resource for the firm providing expertise in non-qualified deferred compensation plans, qualified retirement plans, golden parachute payments (280G), stock options, compensation and benefits in a transaction setting, health and welfare plans, cafeteria plans, and other related tax services.
Responsibilities:
As a firm technical resource leverage technical knowledge and experience to meet client needs and expectations
Provide effective project management to deliver timely and responsive services and products that meet and/or exceed client expectations
A key player within the firm’s tax practice, including building relationships and delivery of services
Assists with proposals and business development, including the development of marketing materials and web-based marketing initiatives
Develops and participates in public speaking opportunities at tax conferences and events
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree in Taxation and/or JD with LLM in Tax preferred
Minimum of 10 years of related experience; preferably in public accounting
Minimum 7 years of specialized compensation and benefits tax experience
CPA, bar membership or equivalent credential required
Ability to prepare and supervise work product
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Presentation skills and strong organizational techniques are required
Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
Able to handle multiple priorities, tasks and simultaneous projects
Able to attain visibility and recognition within industry specialization and in local market
