Job Description:
We Re Seeking a Highly Motivated, Talented, Leader With Enterprise Marketing Experience To Head The B2B Marketing Group At SolarCity. Currently B2B Marketing Encompasses Four Business Areas

Commercial marketing: Our commercial marketing team delivers over 30% of SolarCity total volume across six verticals: enterprise (Fortune 500), schools, municipalities, water districts, and agriculture. Recent expansion includes small medium business and affordable housing.

New homes: We work with national builders to integrate solar into their new homes offering within development communities across the U.S.
Grid engineering solutions: We re a leader in grid engineering solutions that include microgrids and nanogrids as well as demand management services.
Mexico: We ve expanded our commercial solar offering internationally to Mexico with a team based in Mexico City.

The B2B Marketing Director works closely with the sales leaders in the organization to set strategic priorities and lead generation targets. The Director is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the group including best practices for enterprise marketing. Working closely with the Marketing Managers, the Director helps shape and ultimately approves the quarterly marketing calendar and budget that includes a number of tactics, e.g. tradeshow and industry events, sales tools, digital presence, webinars, white papers, and thought leadership activities.

The B2B Marketing Director reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and interacts with the SVP of Commercial Sales, SVP of Strategy and International Markets, and the Chief Revenue Officer.

Responsibilities

Set strategic direction for B2B Marketing working closely with sales leadership and executive team
Manage B2B marketing team (across four core areas)
Establish and own metrics for the B2B Marketing activity
Manage execution of all B2B marketing tactics, working with Marketing Managers, e.g. lead generation activities, lead nurturing, and awareness building
Own and manage enterprise marketing budget
Own strategic partnerships
Own and execute our annual corporate partner event in New York, Inside Energy
Represent the company externally when required
About 15% travel, e.g. Mexico, industry events, conferences

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree and 7-10 years of enterprise marketing experience. Advanced degree is a plus. International experience and Spanish-language comprehension also a plus
Proven track record in enterprise marketing
Experience managing high performance teams
Expertise across marketing functions, including content marketing, thought leadership, events, digital, and social media
Strong execution skills
Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking
Talented communicator. Comfort and experience communicating across the organization from C-suite to sales rep
Comfort working cross-functionally and leading cross-functional teams
High comfort level in fast paced, entrepreneurial, team environment
Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
Master s degree or MBA in related field is ideal
Willingness to travel required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Excellent customer service skills required
Regular, reliable and predictable performance required
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal screen. Additional pre-employment driving and drug screens may be required based on job responsibilities
