Senior Director Internal Communications PepsiCo Plano

Job Description:
This role is responsible for leading corporate communications for Frito-Lay North America's U.S. operations. This includes overseeing communications and engagement with the company's nationwide team of associates, supporting executive visibility, managing change communications initiatives and overseeing local/regional external communications related to our plants and facilities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Developing strategy and leading programming for employee communications and engagement including oversight of existing channels and events (daily email newsletter, videos, Town Hall meetings, etc.) and development of new channels as appropriate​
Lead team of three, as well as collaborate with cross-functional communications advisory team
Develop internal and external speeches/presentations for senior-level executives, including the CEO


Manage internal communications around change/transformation initiatives for the company, including strategic planning and influencing senior executives within Frito-Lay and PepsiCo
Develop and execute surveys and focus groups to measure internal communications progress and opportunities
Create corporate media plans for employee recognition, facility news, and local/plant community engagemen
Manage media opportunities and inquiries related to our nearly 40 U.S. manufacturing facilities; act as company spokesperson with media as appropriate
Serve as primary point of contact for field business teams on communications matters
Provide communications counsel and support to cross functional partners (HR, supply chain, sales, etc.), as well as internal employee resource groups (ERGs)
Work in seamless collaboration with other disciplines within FLNA communications team (brand communications, corporate reputation, social/digital, community relations), as well as PepsiCo global internal communications team ​

Effective verbal communications skills and ability to influence internal and external audiences
Able to manage multiple projects and tasks, various internal clients and a fast-paced/on-deadline environment
Managing change communications against broader corporate strategy
Excellent collaborator and builder of relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to collaborate across multiple functions to engage broad field organization
Crisis communications and issues management
Proficiency and desire to work with necessary technologies for advanced communications: video, Web, PowerPoint, podcasts, blogs, etc.
Ability to create and lead media relations strategies targeting broadcast, print and online outlets
Coordinate measurement of communications impact


Experience:

Internal communications leadership overseeing strategic planning and execution of company-wide campaigns
Counseling executives regarding communications strategy and success in influencing direction
Change communications
Public relations agency and/or corporate experience (preferred but not required)
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism or English preferred
Minimum 12-15 years of experience in a dynamic communications environment
Consumer products background preferred
Working with national broadcast, print, online media
Issues and crisis management
