As a Senior Director of Enterprise Network Engineer you'll lead our Networking team and deliver, design and support CA's existing Infrastructure. In addition, you will research and monitor technological trends and directions, and analyze the organizational use of network technologies to identify technological opportunities to support CA's business objectives.
In This Role, You'll Help Support CA Technologies Charter To Transform The IT Industry By
Reviewing and optimizing current network design and configuration.
Working with technical management to design networks that effectively reflect business needs, service-level and availability requirements.
Overseeing planning, designing, implementation, and operation of network infrastructure projects
Providing infrastructure design, implementation planning, deployment support, software strategy, system troubleshooting, performance engineering and optimization, maintenance strategy.
Developing Network technology roadmaps.
Developing conceptual, logical, or physical network designs.
Performing network modeling, analysis, and planning.
Providing vision and direction on emerging Network technologies.
Serving as a liaison to vendors and/or third-party providers as assigned
The Perfect Candidate For This Role Will Have a Demonstrated Record Of Success In Positions Of Increasing Responsibility Over The Course Of Their Career. An Ideal Background Will Include
Typically 10+ years of related work experience designing, developing, configuring, and implementing enterprise networks with diverse solutions from multiple vendors
Minimum 5 years' experience in LAN/WAN and VOIP Technologies
Minimum 5 years' experience in Unified Communications
In-depth understanding of business strategy and ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and executives
Strong knowledge in IP internetworking – IP routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP)
Fundamental understanding of good data center and network design principles
Experience in building scalable, fault tolerant infrastructure to support cloud computing
Deep exposure to Cisco data center products such as Nexus 7K/5K/2K, CRS-1, 7600, 6500, IOS software
Prior experience designing and implementing Nexus 7K core to enable NextGen features, (OTV, LISP, and FabricPath)
Must have strong knowledge of LAN switching protocols, global load balancer and security components such as Cisco ASA Firewalls
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to apply them during business impacting incidents
Capable of mentoring others and can lead by example
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
