Director Marketing Growth Platforms Quaker PepsiCo Chicago

Job Description:
Quaker is looking for a strategic marketer to lead the growth agenda for Quaker, including the development of our 3-year long-term innovation pipeline and strategic growth platforms. The role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Quaker Innovation and has 3 direct reports.

Work closely with Sr. Director to define and align the organization behind Quaker's long-term innovation strategy including brand architecture, prioritized growth platforms, and pipeline management
Lead team of 3 to develop a robust 2017-2019 pipeline across Healthy Morning, Family Fun, and Work School Break demand spaces leveraging deep consumer insights and macro trends
As part of pipeline development, identify new consumer driven innovation platforms each with strategic business case, validated product concepts, and multi-year runway for growth (ready ideas for charter by Commercialization team)


Oversee the organization's entry into the Work School Break demand space including development and launch of new performance bar brand in 2016
Oversee the development of Quaker's Super Premium platform including positioning, concepts, and design
Partner with Sales to outline holistic innovation growth plans in key alternative channels - Foodservice, Ecommerce, Club
Act as primary liaison with GNG, ensuring alignment behind strategy and resourcing and partnering to develop global pipeline for Healthy Mornings
Partner with Innovation Commercialization Director to manage Quarterly Prioritization Review process

Work closely with Sr. Director to step change Quaker's innovation effectiveness through process optimization, increased discipline, best practice sharing and enhanced culture of creativity and innovative thinking

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred
8-10 years' experience in marketing, innovation, strategy, consumer/customer promotions; experience with consumer packaged goods preferred
Demonstrated ability to define vision and strategy
Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate relationships and lead cross-functional teams
People management experience
Experience with senior executive level communication
Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Comfort operating in an autonomous environment
Ability to read and analyze financials, consumer research, and syndicated data and trends, and synthesize data into compelling insights
Creative, big picture thinker and problem solver
Must be willing and able to travel 10-15% of the time
