We are searching for a Director, Transplant Services—someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital environment. In this position you’ll provide 24 hour accountability for the clinical, administrative and human resource activities for the Transplant Program. You’ll participate in strategic planning and ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective, developmentally appropriate patient care in a family centered care environment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Participates in developing and implementing short and long term strategic plans
Develops and prioritizes program based goals that support the IDS Strategic Plan
Evaluates program performance on both regional and national level
Establishes, maintains and builds effective working relationships with medical leadership, direct reports and appropriate interdepartmental liaisons to ensure the achievement of identified goals
Ensures quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives are directly related to transplant program
Collaborates Hospital’s Quality Outcomes Management Department to ensure high quality standards and a safe clinical environment
Prepares operating and capital budgets
Monitors expenses and resource allocation to budget
Ensures the delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care for the transplant program as measured by variance analysis reports, patient satisfaction results and other pertinent data
Mentors leadership team members to ensure the development of enhanced leadership skills and to promote a consistent level of service
Identifies, provides and creates opportunities for all staff's ongoing professional development to assure a consistent level of service
Requirements
Master’s Degree
Registered Nurse Preferred
Five years of experience in program development and administration (preferably in an academic setting) including three years of leadership experience
Strong knowledge of Healthcare Field, Financial and Statistical Principle, Market Analysis, and Business Plan Development
