Director Quality ThyssenKrupp Hamilton

Job Description:
Leads and directs Quality Management for ThyssenKrupp Bilstein of America (TKBIL). Is responsible for driving sustainable excellence in quality during the production cycle by providing technical leadership through quality discipline, driving adherence to systems and maintaining an intense customer focus. Follows-up on and provides corrective action and coordination of all customer related quality issues.

Complete APQP activities (Control Plans, PPAP, Gage R & R, Capability Studies, Feasibility, etc.) with Internal and External Customers
Handling and resolution of Suspect Material for Internal and Exteranl Customer Quality Problems (8D, 5 why, Drill Deep & Wide, Red X, Six Sigma, etc.)
Manage activities associated with launch of new products to ensure all areas (Design, Process, and Quality) have been adequately developed
Perform Testing and/or Dimensional Analysis for Production, Feasibility Reviews, PPAP, & Problem Solving activities
Minimize Design/Quality/Production issues associated with Launch and/or Production of Bilstein Active Systems. Secondary Focus on Passive Systems.
Interacts directly with Customer
Additional tasks as assigned
Specific Job Duties

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical degree with at least 5 years Automotive Quality experience. Electrical Engineering or Experience (Preferred)
Process Engineering experience (Preferred)
New Product launch experience in Automotive Industry
Experience with Customer Run @ Rate activities, Safe Launch, and Customer Complaints
Experience with Customer Systems (Mercedes, GM, Chrysler, Ford, etc.); Understands Customer APQP activities and systems (GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes, Ford, etc.)
Solid understanding of Manufacturing & Quality Systems such that improvements can be implemented quickly
Good Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude
Good understanding of Metrology (Measurement Techniques, Calibration, Standards, Traceability, etc.)
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Minitab (or similar tools)
Blueprint reading skills. Advanced understanding of GD&T.
German language competency (Preferred)
Experience working in German owned Company (Preferred)
