Hatch is in search for an ambitious, entrepreneurial Engineer who can lead the growth of our Oil & Gas business in Houston. The person who accepts this role will define, lead and execute Hatch’s Oil & Gas business unit’s development strategy in alignment with overall business strategy of profitable organic and inorganic growth. The successful candidate will help Hatch get established in the US and North American markets, this is a growth role for Project Manager that has a background Project or Process Engineering. You will have also played a role in identifying and landing projects through business development.
The successful candidate will likely come from the consulting or owner side of the Oil & Gas industry. This person will combine strong operations, project management skills with equally strong client relationship management and business development skills. Our ideal candidate will have technical background in oil & gas and strong relationships with the major players in the Houston market to help impact this growth.
Although this position will most likely be based in Houston, we will be attracting new business around the world once established in Houston and the therefore be required to travel frequently.
Requirements:
Engineering Degree and technical background
15-20 years of progressive working experience, greater responsibility and job challenge, with room for lots more responsibility and growth
Strong technical background in midstream or downstream with an area of expertise
Experience in project management, engineering design, new concept or innovation
Experience in proposal writing and commercial agreement negotiations
Demonstrate passion and experience in building a business
Demonstrated leadership and client engagement experience will be an asset
Experience working in joint ventures will be an asset
Ability to travel between Canada and USA
