The head of the Operations group for all rotating equipment manufacturing and final assembly with a budget spend in excess of $35M for a group of approximately 200 salary and production employees
This position reports directly to the head of U.S. steam turbine operations.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all operational aspects of new unit manufacturing as well as service products
- Lead team of ~200 that includes skilled hourly individuals as well as multiple managers, supervisors and continuous improvement expert
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive improvements in order to meet long term goals for the business
- Develop and execute initiatives to reduce lead times and costs to make products more productive
- Experience in Siemens Production Systems (or similar) highly desired
- Experience in rotating equipment manufacturing required
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Minimum of 10 years of technical and commercial experience directly related to the the power generation industry is strongly preferred. Specific experience in fossil power generation operations is ideal.
10+ years of direct leadership experience with in depth knowledge in a large scale machining and assembly operations under a lean manufacturing foundation is required with the ability to independently develop and drive the strategic quality direction for the organization.
BS degree in Engineering required with a preference – Master Degree in an Engineering Field or equivalent combination of education and experience in a direct operations role
