The Global Director of Search Engine Optimization (GDSEO) is a new role and will report to the VP of Marketing as its fearless leader. You will be responsible for developing a holistic SEO strategy and bringing that strategy to life across a variety of sites, in a very dynamic and global organization. As you already know, SEO can only succeed through close collaboration and partnership with stakeholders across multiple functions, including marketing, technology, product, customer support, sales and the executive team. You’ll have endless opportunities to grow and optimize this foundational channel as well as to help identify new initiatives to keep Shutterstock growing fast, innovating and staying at the forefront of our industry.
Responsibilities:
Growing traffic, revenue and brand awareness via SEO
Developing, prioritizing and driving progress against the strategic plan
Managing, mentoring and inspiring a small-but-growing team and external partners to deliver their best work, every day
Developing processes and leveraging technology to continuously monitor both onsite and offsite SEO signals
Staying abreast of new trends and algorithm updates to ensure ongoing compliance in an always-evolving landscape
Developing and overseeing population of dashboards for progress monitoring, tracking and reporting
Assisting with evaluation of the organization’s needs to ensure SEO goals can be exceeded
Being the champion for SEO and ensuring all teams/stakeholders are well versed in SEO best practices
Basic Requirements:
Have a wealth (8+ years) of experience in SEO; ideally in a global e-commerce environment
Possess superb communication skills, verbal and written, and can talk the talk with techies and brand leaders alike
Are a natural collaborator and consensus builder who works well with many personality styles
