Director Business Development BlackRock San Francisco

Job Description:
This individual would be responsible for managing strategic relationships with both current and potential financial institution partners for distribution of FutureAdvisor’s digital wealth management offering. The individual will be the primary liaison for all communication between FutureAdvisor and each of the financial institution relationships that he/she manages, as well as being responsible for creating and driving execution of the overall strategy for distribution of FutureAdvisor’s offering through the partner. The individual will need to represent the entrepreneurial energy of FutureAdvisor while coordinating closely with colleagues at BlackRock. The individual will be located in FutureAdvisor’s San Francisco office and will report to our Head of Sales & Business Development.

Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development
Introduce and educate potential partner institutions about FutureAdvisor’s capabilities
Establish relationships with key decision makers at potential partner institutions
Define needs of partner institutions to effectively position FutureAdvisor within the unique existing offering of each partner institution
Assist FutureAdvisor’s implementation team in scoping and messaging proposed integrated offering to partner institutions
Relationship Management
Transition potential partner institutions through education, scoping, contracting, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of services provided by FutureAdvisor
Manage communication of term sheets, contracts, and associated business processes involved in consummating a partnership with a financial institution
Strategy Development
Work in conjunction with fellow members of the Business Development team to expose and evaluate new products and markets that FutureAdvisor can develop to continue to enhance its position as a market leader in digital wealth management

Qualifications
7+ years of experience in enterprise/institutional sales or relationship management, business development, investment banking, and/or consulting
Experience managing partner relationships from initial engagement to deal consummation
Familiarity with financial technology and its impact within the wealth management industry
Passion for working in a rapidly changing start-up environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, strong organizational skills
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, GoogleDocs
Strong written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree required
