DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), to lead IS&T’s newly formed Administration Team. Will serve in a decisive leadership role to transform a newly created team concept into a high-performing center of administrative excellence and play a pivotal role in supporting the overall transformation of IT@MIT and IS&T’s associated initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities include overseeing and improving financial strategies and supporting procedures/processes to facilitate strategic, data-driven decision making; conducting financial analyses that enable the development of strategic, multi-year financial models; leveraging financial information and key metrics--provided by the Project and Portfolio Management Office--to provide key intelligence to IS&T and Institute leadership; identifying talent needs, job design, talent acquisition and movement, and skills and knowledge gaps; driving the process of building a robust pipeline of talent through workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, succession planning, career development, and diversity and inclusion; organizing and implementing all learning and development programs; promoting and developing leadership skills and behavior at the individual contributor and management levels; implementing operating practices and procedures related to workforce planning while continually driving operational change and efficiencies; overseeing the administration of facilities and space management; and ensuring proactive and responsive administrative support for department staff.
Job Requirements:REQUIRED: bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration or related field; at least ten years’ IT and business/industry work experience including knowledge of finance, human resources, and/or operations; experience managing teams and building strategic relationships with people at a variety of levels; demonstrated ability to launch and deliver one or more project(s) on time and within budget; and excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
