The Director, Team Lead, BAI GEP, New Business Planning Analytics will responsible for leading the team of business development analytics responsible for supporting all GEP initiated Business Development and Alliances programs (ie Hospira, Innopharma, etc). This leader will develop new approaches to help Pfizer make more informed decisions on potential acquisition targets. This role will be the primary analytics partner to the Vice President of GEP New Business Planning on the GEP Strategy and Business Development team. He / She will lead the team of analysts and provide analytics support to evaluate and identify business development opportunities in close partnership with the client team through strategic use of data and analytics. He / She will also have the responsibility to help develop best in class BD analytical techniques in for the Global GEP BAI organization. He / She will play a prominent role on the Global GEP BAI Leadership team.
Responsibilities
Role Definition and Key Accountabilities
*Responsible for leading the analytics efforts for Business Development the GEP Business Unit.
*Develop new and more effective ways to assess target companies helping senior leadership make more informed decisions.
*Will be the primary BAI partner to the VP of the New Business Planning and develop the relationship with the team and be fully embedded into the business
*Lead strategic analyses to support New Business Planning team to develop models based on secondary data to help evaluate Business Development opportunities the impact of commercial decisions
*Leverage different secondary data sources (e.g. MIDAS and other IMS Evaluate Pharma, CapIQ) and work with large databases to derive insights and infer actions. Identify new and innovative data sources that can improve the outcomes of Business Development analytics.
*Design analyses from unstructured problems and synthesize insights into structured communications and deliver to senior management
*Be strategic partner to leadership in goal-setting, strategy development, performance measurement, and new opportunity identification/prioritization
*Work effectively with (and sometimes lead) a cross-functional team to shape and create deliverables
*Proactively seek out and evaluate opportunities for application of rigorous secondary data analytics to improve decision-making processes.
*Work with other members of the BAI team including Centers of Excellence to be the thought partner to advance BAI capabilities and collaborate for client deliverables as needed.
*Engage with the global community to represent the needs of the Business Unit, and leverage standard tools developed by the Centers of Excellence as appropriate

*Highly autonomous, and a recognized expert in primary market research and strong secondary data analytics both within and outside of his / her own client team, skilled at influencing others
*Proven ability to work independently on qualitative and quantitative analyses
*Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
*Ability to leverage clear and effective frameworks while creating product forecasts
*Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment as well as in partnership with markets, Global teams, other business units , and external partners
*Ability to quickly establish relationships of trust and credibility with internal client-partners and to be the seen as a partner to the business with a deep expertise in analytics
*Ability to manage simultaneously multiple projects involving a variety of analytic techniques
*Proven ability to lead and execute projects dealing with complex secondary data analytic techniques
*Proven ability to work effectively in matrix organizations to deliver impactful results to clients
Qualifications
*Master's level education preferred, minimum 11+ years professional experience
*8+ years experience in Management Science/ Forecasting function, country strategy and/or strategic consulting
*5+ years previous leadership experience in analytical capacity required
*Expertise with IMS data and secondary data analyses required
