Job Description:
As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Director of Sales and Marketing located in Lenexa, KS.
The B/E Aerospace Lenexa site is the center of excellence for aircraft Beverage Maker Products and offers a wide selection of galley insert equipment including coffee and espresso makers, water boilers, and liquid containers, for the commercial and business jet segments.
Reporting to the Vice President/General Manager of Beverage Maker Products, the Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for the direction and coordination of sales and marketing activities as well as assisting the Vice President/General Manager with formulating and administering organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee the activities of Sales & Marketing and Product Support functions.
Review market analysis, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates.
Establish sales goals and strategies to help fulfill those goals.
Direct and coordinate activities of department for which responsibility is delegated to further attainment of goals and objectives.
Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
Act as the liaison between sales and marketing and other departments.
Confer with Vice President/General Manager and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
Develop and maintain training programs for sales and marketing personnel.
Represent company at industry and trade shows to promote the organization and the product.
Analyze and control expenditure of department to meet budgetary requirements.
Prepare and analyze sales reports and serve as member of management committees on special studies.
Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; conduct performance appraisals; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and seven (7) years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA strongly preferred.
Aerospace experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders including Senior Leadership.
