Director Product Marketing SugarCRM Cupertino

Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate Director of Product Marketing to join our Product Marketing team. This individual contributor will be focused on creating successful customers by effectively delivering an innovative solution for companies addressing customer needs spanning from lead to opportunity. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of the Marketing Automation and Lead Management market segments and will have a proven track record of delivering successful results in the same or similar position at a Marketing Automation and/or other CRM company.

This individual contributor will work closely with Engineering, Product Management and the SugarCRM Business Development organization to develop product messaging, competitive positioning, and influence the Sugar roadmap. This person will also develop key sales and marketing collateral plus training materials and will enable SugarCRM Sales and Service organizations as well as the SugarCRM Channel Partners to effectively create successful Sugar customers. This person will report to the Sr. Director of Product Marketing.

This position is the ideal job for an ambitious product marketing professional looking to make a big impact in an exciting pre-IPO company. The Product Marketing organization is a conduit between everyone in product development, the field, partners, and customers. As such, the Director of Product Marketing will have plenty of opportunity to interact with and add value to each of those individual teams. This role is critical to unlocking the potential of SugarCRM.

Responsibilities

Work with SugarCRM's Products organization to define product requirements and competitive positioning
Identify strategic partnerships and coordinate with Business Development to create those partnerships
Coordinate with Corporate Marketing and strategic partners to disseminate Sugar's value proposition to the market
Develop sales enablement material and deliver that material to SugarCRM customer-facing organizations, VARs, and strategic ISV partners
Define and execute marketing programs to drive demand and sales opportunities
Create and maintain content for critical marketing collateral including data sheets, presentations, web site, videos, whitepapers, and social media
Develop demonstration scripts that highlight Sugar’s advantages and differentiators
Perform competitive analysis and develop competitive sales tools and marketing collateral
Answer ad hoc inquiries required to enable individual opportunities
Act as an evangelist for SugarCRM inside and outside of the company
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements

Minimum 5 years of relevant product management or product marketing experience
2-3 years experience at a Marketing Automation company or focused on Marketing Automation at a CRM company
Proven ability to translate technical features into business benefits
Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups at all organizational levels
Well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and presentations skills
University degree required, MBA a plus
Willingness to travel as necessary to be successful
