As Director of Information Security, Enterprise Mobility, you will work for the global leader in enterprise mobility as a thought leader guiding and influencing the mobile security space. You will be the focal point and lead for information security for our mobile cloud solutions and services, including operational, architectural and threat response capabilities. The role will span core IT security capabilities, brokering central information security services as well as establishing and enhancing product-specific capabilities. The role will be the key partnership between the AirWatch and End-User Computing business unit and the Office of the CISO, ensuring all functions are working collaboratively to safeguard the needs of customers, employees, and shareholders.
This position will be located at our Atlanta, GA location.
The Director of Information Security, Enterprise Mobility will report to the Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer of VMware.
Responsibilities
- Establishes trusted relationships with AirWatch & End-User Computing executive leadership across all aspects of the business unit.
- Identifies and brokers core information security capabilities from IT Security into mobile service and solution portfolio
- Sets appropriate success metrics and consistently drives execution
- Partners with other engineering teams and executives to develop short- and long-term security, product and service strategies.
-Collaborates with other teams to solve security problems with minimal disruption to other business functions.
-Oversees all security hardware solutions in production for AirWatch.
-Manages the investigation and troubleshooting of security issues to determine root cause and drive solutions.
-Continuous improvement of policies, procedures and technology.
-Interacts with industry experts, partners, internal staff and auditors.
-Works effectively as part of a geographically distributed team
-Occasional travel is required (domestic and international)
Required Skills
-Bachelor's in Engineering/Computer Science or related industry (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in Information Security, Infrastructure and Security Engineering/Operations
-Infrastructure Security knowledge and experience
-Security certifications and/or equivalent work experience
-Experience with distributed systems and architecture knowledge.
-Experience in 24/7 environments with strict change control
-Proven success in a progressive workplace
-Capable of influencing and motivating a team of security staff in a challenging, dynamic and global environment.
Desired Skills
- Masters in Engineering, Computer Science
-Prior understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
-Experience with multi-tiered mission-critical systems
-Solid hands-on technical background particularly in understanding highly complex, multi-platform environments (servers, storage, networks, security, virtualization, systems monitoring and management)
-ISO 27001, PCI, SOC, FISMA, FedRAMP knowledge.
