Job Description:
We are seeking a Contracts Management Director to support transactions across Cisco’s Advanced Services and Cloud and Managed Services business segments. The Contract Management Director will be responsible for fostering successful delivery, execution and enforcement of multiyear XaaS and Managed Services contracts, including complex turnkey projects and contracts, in close collaboration with Legal, Finance, Operations, Delivery and Sales organizations. Success of this exciting new role will be partially measured by positive impact on project margin and customer satisfaction. The Director will also be responsible for collecting and learning and best practices from concluded contracts, providing feedback into the contract formation and negotiation process.
Responsibilities Include
• Build and lead a successful team of contract management professionals
• Develop and implement contract administration policies and processes to improve Cisco’s compliance with its contractual and delivery obligations
• Drive a culture change, training and enabling the Delivery and Sales eco- systems around the need for Contract Management as a capability
• Provide guidance on customer contractual obligations to cross-functional business team members, including teams associated with Services Delivery, Security, Operational functions, Project and Portfolio management
• Integrate the Contract Management function with Cisco’s overall Digital Strategy to make sure it is managed as a capability and integrated fully
• Manage staffing and budget
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement contract management tools and systems
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in related area
• 10+ years of relevant experience. Or, advanced degree (e.g. JD, MBA, etc.) and at least 7 years of experience.
• Strong process design and process implementation background, as this is intended to be managed as an integrated capability and not a resource driven overlay function
• Experience in contract and/or procurement management
• Experience in complex outsourcing, systems integration, and/or managed services agreements is preferred
• Ability to review, interpret, and summarize in “plain English” technology agreements, change requests, statements of work, etc.
• Experience hiring and managing small to mid-sized team with varying backgrounds
• Financial awareness, such as revenue recognition, booking, CapEx v. OpEx, SLA, penalty & risk-reward mechanisms, etc
• Ability to roll out training plans to Sales, Delivery and Project Managers
• Proficient in networking, telecommunications, and similar technology concepts
• A good team player who thrives when operating cross-functionally.

• 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a high volume, technology environment
