Director Business Development Nielsen Parsippany

Job Description:
As a Client Director in Business Development, you will be responsible for leading The Nielsen Company's relationship with an assigned group of strategic clients that currently purchase their POS and Household Panel data from our main competitor in this area. You will serve as your clients' business partner (CBP) and Nielsen “one voice” representative, working collaboratively with your Nielsen Company colleagues across all Nielsen divisions and areas, to create integrated solutions to solve your clients' most pressing business issues. You will lead a cross-functional team to provide day-to-day servicing requirements to the client, and ensure that service is meeting or exceeding the client's expectations. You will manage execution of client service plans, ensure that annual team financial targets are achieved or exceeded and ultimately convince your clients to transition their POS/RMS and Household Panel contracts to Nielsen.

Key Accountabilities

Drive improved relationships with key client contacts, increase client penetration, and improve awareness of Nielsen products and services to drive increased revenue growth for Nielsen.
Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional Nielsen Client Business Partners, Client Teams and Practice Areas across all Nielsen areas (POS, Panel, Innovation/BASES, Analytics, Audits, Retail, Consumer Insights, Spectra, Catalina, The Cambridge Group, Advertising Effectiveness, Marketing Effectiveness, Big Data, etc.)
Collaborate with all partners to ensure Total Client revenue goals are achieved via business development efforts
Drive thought leadership at prospective clients by synthesizing Nielsen data sources, client knowledge and industry/consumer knowledge to create high impact ideas and strategies for clients
Engage with clients on business issues and link them to Nielsen analytic solutions
Guide Practice Areas and client teams to ensure analyses drive value and result in client action
Participate in Nielsen Talent Management processes (i.e. Talent Reviews, PPR's, Objective Setting, Learning Plans) in collaboration with Prof. Services and HR Business Partners
Coach client team associates to advance their analytic competencies and consultative skills
Persuade clients to consider Nielsen to become their contractual primary supplier for POS/RMS data and related services via formal RFP’s
