Director IT Business Applications Bigcommerce Austin

Job Description:
Our Director, IT and Business Applications is a senior leader who pro-actively consults with business groups to improve systems and applications specifically including Salesforce.com. Part of our Engineering Leadership team, you’ll instill an innovative, agile mindset within our IT and Business Applications organization, striking the right balance of agility, urgency process and structure. An expert communicator and technologist, you hold your teams to high standards and inspire each individual to excel in ways that adds value to the business and our clients.

What You Will Do
Partner with the leadership team; understand the company’s vision; develop and align IT strategies for future growth.
Evaluate our Salesforce implementation and development process and how it integrates with phone systems to create a harmonious workflow for our Sales, Marketing and Support organizations.
Determine where new development is required; operationalize IT processes across the Company; improve functionality and eliminate redundancies.
Oversee IT globally; communicate and integrate company-wide technology standards, applications and infrastructure.
Evaluate, select/develop and implement new technology as needed to support the company.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards aimed at maximizing effectiveness and minimizing costs related to the acquisition, implementation and operation of IT systems.
Provide focused, business-minded IT leadership, emphasizing IT’s measurable contribution to business success and business metrics (revenue growth, profitability, customer service, expense, etc.).
Analyze and identify security risks; develop solutions aimed at improving information security capabilities.
Maintain security of all proprietary data; provide complete backup of all computer systems in case of system failure or disaster.
Balance internal and external IT members and resources.
Who You Are
An undergraduate technical degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or similar is desired.
15 + years of progressive IT experience in a fast-paced, high growth business with global hands-on knowledge.
Experience successfully supporting and scaling enterprise sales organization and customer support centers required. Extensive Saleforce.com experience a must.
Experience integrating the various IT platforms of acquired companies into a cohesive unified system; synergizing a multi-site and global IT platform.
Experience implementing and integrating Enterprise Applications.
Experience with network design, configuration, installation, maintenance, support and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP networks supporting VoIP telephony.
Direct experience with IT planning and budget management.
Excellent communication; ability to gain the confidence of senior executive audiences or higher.
Ability to evolve with a rapidly changing environment, make decisions, prioritize and meet or exceed deadlines.
Maintains knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
Ability to work variable extended hours may include extensive travel at times which can include evenings and/or weekends.
Maintain valid passport to travel overseas when required.
Ambitious yet humble with a passion for leading and developing successful, high-performance teams.
