Senior Director Strategic Marketing Integrated Solution Philips Bothell

Job Description
We challenge you to provide leadership for global customer segmentation, needs assessment, and value proposition creation across the Ultrasound business group for Philips. You will develop integrated cross-business marketing programs, including developing integrated product and solutions roadmaps. You will help drive growth, customer loyalty and increasing the share of cross-business solutions within the overall business group revenue mix. You will work closely with product managers in the businesses to help develop and prioritize marketing plans across the business group. Partnering with the group ‘market to order’ leader, you will evangelize market and customer needs and drive functional marketing excellence toward addressing these needs. You will advise the business group CEO on group level product / solution marketing. You will leverage the group Strategy and Innovation function to provide input to the overall solutions development strategy (including for enterprise solutions) and help develop solutions (technical and process). You will act as a two-way feedback channel between the business group and group strategy regarding solutions activities and to assess and nurture options for solutions that integrate Philips’ and external third party offerings. In this role you may also help manage and incubate solution programs with third party partners. You will lead a small team of program managers, product managers and support resources responsible for crafting cross-business solutions.

Your responsibilities:

Determine and help develop emerging product and solution areas for investment, particularly for cross-business programs and solutions

Collaborate with Head of Innovation and business level Product Managers to understand business product roadmaps and product marketing plans to help guide and develop integrated marketing plans and integrated solutions value propositions.

Collaborates with the Market to Order Lead and Market Leaders to develop customer segmentation needs assessments and value propositions at the business group level

Collaborates with the Market to Order leader to support marketing functional excellence

Develops integrated solutions across business group competitive and customer needs landscape, including leveraging third parties where appropriate.

Senses and studies the competitive landscape to understand relevant emerging product and solution areas and develop new ideas for solution development

Collaborates with the Clinical Innovation lead to understand emerging clinical requirements and capabilities to incorporate into solutions roadmap development.

Collaborates with business leaders and business product managers to help define and implement cross-business solutions development programs

Develops plans to stabilize and scale cross-business solutions and ensure the appropriate mix / type of solutions within the business group solutions portfolio

Supports the business group leader to increase the overall share of solutions revenue within the total revenue mix



We are looking for:

A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, increasing in responsibility and demonstrating both leadership and execution capabilities.

Strong upstream marketing experience and competency in the medical device industry. Ultrasound knowledge highly preferred.

Additional experience in other disciplines; solutions selling and/or product development in the medical technology, healthcare provider or life sciences spaces

Knowledge of clinical customer segments and segmentation techniques

Marketing intelligence knowledge, including how to identify and develop new market segments

Program management experience, including managing the execution of integrated solutions programs

Understanding of technical specifications of products in the Ultrasound product portfolio

Strong influential leadership, collaborative, thoughtful, challenging and able to align colleagues in shared objectives

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated success developing strong relationships with peers and superiors; Establishing credibility and generating engagement from the broader organization; Delivering results in cross business initiatives.

Demonstrated ability to work in a global and highly matrixed environment with strong networking, influencing and change management skills

Passionate, results driven, strong business acumen.

An undergraduate degree in marketing, business or technical discipline is required; MBA highly preferred.
