Job Description
The role of Senior Director, Clinical and Operations Solutions Marketing is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans that deliver measurable business value and revenue goals with a focus on NewCo’s Clinical and Operations Solution Portfolios. The Senior Director collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective development of long-term and short-term strategic marketing plans that align with corporate goals and effectively position the clinical and operations solutions of NewCo to appropriate segments and customer needs. The role will work with senior leadership, solutions management, and the relationship management team to support company goals, and the individual selected will manage a team of marketers aligned to NewCo’s clinical and operations solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for the Clinical and Operations Solution Portfolios that supports the business objectives and enables sustained growth, including launch plans for new solutions and strategies for lead generation and nurturing:
define competitive positioning aligned to market needs and segments
create and own positioning framework, including value propositions and high-level messages
drive the related thought leadership agenda
create sales enablement plans, including competitive positioning
actively monitors plan success and adjust performance as needed
Build relationships with executive stakeholders in Offering and Solution Strategy, Relationship Management and Operations to ensure success of the Clinical and Operations Solution Portfolios
Informed by the Member, Market and Competitive Intelligence team, represent the voice of the member and the market for Clinical and Operations Solution Portfolios
Partner with Offering Solutions and Strategy on solution roadmaps and budgets; lead the development of the commercial marketing plan of the SDP process; collaborate on new solution development to ensure alignment to member needs and market competitiveness
Partner with other Marketing and Communications functions to ensure that work is done in the most appropriate areas, including:
Partner with MarCom team to effectively develop and execute integrated campaigns that optimize marketing mix and generate results
Collaborate with Member, Market and Competitive Intelligence team to ensure marketing plans meet customer needs and are executed with data driven insights and key industry analytics
Partner with Marketing Analytics team to develop and report on metrics associated with the success of marketing programs and the commercial success of the solutions
Partner with Strategic Communications on developing and driving the thought leadership agenda
Play an active role in editorial and content management
Manage resources associated with marketing the solutions portfolio, including direct/indirect team members, outside resources and overall budget
Ensure brand and process compliance
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; MBA highly desired
15+ years’ business experience, including 10 years in marketing leadership
5 years in product marketing or brand management with experience in the development and launch of products
Healthcare or consulting experience preferred
Strong knowledge of healthcare industry preferred
Ability to communicate and persuade, in both written and oral forms
Ability to effectively manage a team of direct and indirect resources
Ability to build executive-level relationships
Ability to apply and communicate business implications related to marketing programs and initiatives
