Job Description
This position is responsible for providing organizational development and technical leadership in managing a department that identifies, tests, develops and supports a portfolio of applications. Creating effective relationships with business partners and identifying / supporting global strategic R&I initiatives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensure the readiness/availability and the development of information systems and technologies, respond to the needs of the entity using the IT strategy of R&I and the Group as a guide.
Manage the planning of application enhancements, forecasting, budgeting, scheduling and prioritization of IT projects of the entity in coordination with the global organization.
Make recommendations and guide the implementation of new systems or upgrades coming from the global organization.
Define, design, develop and validate solutions to be deployed in accordance (and with the validation) R&I the strategy and information systems to the demands of internal stakeholders.
Monitor the activities of the department, the commitments of budget, schedule, and quality
Oversee the exchange with suppliers and external service providers (on budget, quality of service, etc.), where outsourcing of systems development and /or support in line with corporate policies
Recruit, develop and manage team members; ensure the development of their expertise and skills and implement changes organization as needed.
Manage software licenses and keep R&I USA in compliance.
Identify new technologies or applications that can benefit R&I; execute a proof of concept and create a business case for global deployment following the R&I IT approval process.
Job Requirements / Desirable Training & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required with a Master’s degree preferred.
At least 10 years’ related Information Technology work experience with 4-5 years management experience preferably in the Cosmetic or Pharmaceutical industry
Scientific training or work experiences a plus.
Hands-on experience with development tools or new technology implementation; application testing and deployment techniques
Experienced project manager with International and virtual team experience.
Experience innovating new technologies or solutions, rapid application development lifecycle methodology, emerging technology identification, execution and project management is required.
Able to work effectively in multidisciplinary and virtual teams.

Travel – 10-15% (International and Domestic)
