The Director of NA PET Resin Procurement is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies across US and Canada that deliver assurance of supply, measurable cost efficiencies, and high quality. Additional responsibilities include the development, implementation, and execution of advanced risk management programs for PET Resin.
The selected candidate:
Reports to the Senior Director - Global Resin COE
Will be responsible for the management and professional development of one direct report, manager of PET Supply.
Will have matrix management responsibilities, working across multiple levels and organizations, to drive the Resin COE agenda
Principal Accountabilities
Develop and implement strategies for the procurement of PET resin in support of the North America Beverage Business (NAB) that provide a competitive market advantage.
Directly responsible for over $1 billion of resin spend.
Execute risk management actions to maintain compliance to the NA PET resin Playbook, avoiding violations at all times.
Develop and implement strategic supplier relationships that deliver best in class market pricing, supply assurance, quality improvement, innovation and increased MWBE utilization.
Establish and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders aimed at identifying, understanding and fulfilling their requirements.
Interact with key senior leaders throughout the NA organization, such as SVP Global Procurement CFO, CFO Tropicana, SVP R&D Packaging, PBC SVP Engineering, etc., to drive and deliver Resin COE strategic programs.
Negotiate supplier agreements that reflect the best interests of the Company.
Execute financial requirements to include financial forecasts, business case development, cost modeling, cash flow analysis and creation of annual operating and strategic business plans.
Review and evaluate current business practices and identify areas of opportunity for improvement with a focus on total cost reduction and supply optimization.
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience; direct experience in the development and commercialization of rigid packaging materials including some knowledge of resins is preferred
Undergraduate degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance and/or Business required; a MS or MBA is preferred
Demonstrated record of accomplishment in negotiating complex contracts and supplier relationship management
Advanced analytical skills with thought leadership to drive strategy development and execution
Deep expertise in financial business case analysis and cost modeling
Thorough knowledge of strategic and tactical project management concepts, methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures
Strong alignment skills with the ability to communicate vision and gain alignment with senior management both internally and externally
Proven decision-making, problem solving skills, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
