Director Finance Software Business Model Strategy Juniper Networks Sunnyvale

Job Description
This position would report to the Corporate VP of Finance for all Product Groups and Global Manufacturing Operations. The role is highly strategic and visible and focused on driving financial and accounting aspects of key business and commercial initiatives including software licensing, solution selling, alternative financing and leasing bundles. Deals may also include OEM and M&A.

Critical to success in this role will be a strong technical background in revenue recognition and related accounting regulations. The ideal candidate would have several years of experience with a Big Four Accounting firm coupled with working in business finance so he/she can understand commercial deals and their financial implications, work with various stakeholders like sales, product management, corporate development, business unit finance and corporate accounting. Strong leadership and communication are essential requirements since this role will have tremendous exposure to the senior executive team at Juniper. Prior experience in Networking or Telecommunications industry would be a plus.

Qualifications

15+ years of finance and/or accounting experience in a high-tech company, preferably switching/networking communications including deep expertise in Revenue Recognition from a Big Four Accounting firm
Proven track record of success with personal career advancement goals
Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, high energy, initiative and creativity
Strong desire to understand Juniper’s business including strategy, products, go- to-market and competitive landscape
Excellent analytical, communication and relationship-building skills
Able to work in a fast paced environment and comply with tight deadlines
