As part of our Affiliate Sales team, working within our growing TV Channels business, this is a mission-critical role to drive strategic and revenue growth initiatives for NBCUniversal’s channel portfolio across key Asia territories.Partnering with our customers across all platforms, including cable, satellite, telcos, IPTV, OTT, SVOD and New Media you'll develop strategies to expand these partnerships, as well as developing new business across emerging digital and new media platforms.
Develop strategies to expand relationships and grow channel and OTT Branded SVOD revenue reach with existing channel partners
Drive channel and OTT Branded SVOD revenue growth with existing and new partners across APAC
Work in close collaboration with Universal Network’s Affiliate Marketing, Advertising Sales, Legal, Finance, Technical and other departments to drive and manage a superior sales process from end to end
Collaborate closely with Affiliate Marketing to develop and execute subscriber growth and retention initiatives
Identify and secure new distribution opportunities for Universal Networks channel portfolio with cable, satellite, IPTV and OTT operators across the APAC region
Provide accurate and timely reporting of sales activity, revenue opportunities and risks, subscriber trending analysis, market intelligence and industry development to NBCU senior UK and US based management
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Substantive experience in media distribution sales, in particular across new media platforms
Highly motivated, numbers-driven and sales oriented with thorough understanding of the sales process, high-value negotiations and account management
Must be a strategic thinker with a proven sales track record in Asian media
Wide network of APAC affiliate and industry contacts
Deep knowledge of APAC media markets, industry trends and competitive set
Willing to travel extensively
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Additional Asian language a plus, ideally fluent Mandarin speaker
