Director Finance Process Automation Hub Schneider Electric Houston

Job Description
The Director Finance, US PA Hub, has a direct reporting line to VP Finance, Process Automation- Americas and dotted line business support to the US Process Automation Hub Leader. The position is responsible leading the finance functional support for the Process Automation US operations while collaborating and business partnering with the US hub leadership team.

Key Accountabilities
Successful candidate will partner with the PA hub leadership team to execute established business plans including driving decision support, front end execution of commercial plans, operational excellence. Accountable for the financial implementation of strategic and annual goals and objectives. This position leads all aspects of financial activities in support of US hub profitability and reporting.


v Works closely with the US PA Hub leader to develop goals and objectives and provide financial forecasting and analysis based on standardized processes in line with the global Process Automation structure.

· Supports strategic and annual operating plans, monthly and quarterly forecasting, and operational / KPI reporting.

· Partners with Segment Leadership to develop order/ pipeline strategies and support operational (project and services) performance and profitability

· Active involvement in the preparation of sales targets and sales commission reviews

v Executes financial planning and forecasting processes to achieve targeted commitments.

· In conjunction with the segment and based on reporting provided by functions, supports reporting of the financial statements along with variance and risk reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, cash management).

v Supports hub leadership in all aspects of finance related business matters: business development, deal and contract reviews, resource allocation, and meaningful financial analysis.

v Overseas business direct, indirect, and overhead budgets - providing control activities and reporting to achieve targeted financial results

v Supports operational activities to achieve the overall gross margin results by partnering with engineering, supply chain, and operations functions impacting hub profitability.

v Supports delivery of key Controls metrics as impacted by customer activity and segment commercial decisions (AR / AP / customer T&Cs).

v Champions internal controls and compliance to regulations, laws and corporate procedures and policies for their segment.

v Supports internal compliance to IFRS, tax, local GAAP, and risk management, working with Corporate Functions.

v Champions change adoption within the hub functions in support of the PA business integration.

v Hire and develop top, diverse key talent for the finance organization.

Provide Business Partnering And Management Reporting







v Supports the decision making process via standardize financial service offerings to drive business profitability while ensuring internal control processes and risk management strategies are observed.

v Supports a culture of continuous improvement and change adoption within the hub functions while delivering standardized financial support in line with Schneider Electric’s finance functional vision.

v Capable of developing and implementing operational processes and tools for maintaining accurate and measurable financial results.

v Coordinates and reports monthly operations results via engineering and project controllership engagement.

v Manages standardized segment financial analysis and reporting

v Provides standardized weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to sales management, business segments, and senior management.

v Ensures the availability of self-service financial tools and reporting for segment utilization.

v Responsible for routine management and tracking of all balance sheet, capital expenses and cash related metrics to ensure keep financials results are achieved.





Skills







v Possesses well developed knowledge and skills to transpose operational insight into financial information and analysis

v Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.

v Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and multi-task effectively.

v Ability to play a lead role in managing projects/teams; process improvement focus.

v Excellent Understanding of POC accounting and project business models;

v Ability to impact and lead cross functional teams across multiple locations

v Effective communicator with senior levels of the organization

v Ability to translate complex financial data into usable information for management decisions

Qualifications







v Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, with heavy financial analysis and operational focus.



v 4 year degree: CPA and/or MBA preferred



v 10 years related finance experience, ideally with exposure to the project and services industries.

v Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a management of operations financial leadership role

v Detailed knowledge of IFRS and GAAP with practical application

v 15+ years of experience with multi-national experience preferred

v Essbase, Oracle and SAP experience desirable

v Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
