Job Description
Primary purpose of this role will be to ensure excellence in managing the pipeline and recruitment of high volume income and select Mission critical positions at the American Cancer Society. The Director, Community Sourcing will spearhead key programs including: college recruitment, military recruitment and social recruitment all with a diversity lens. This role will also serve as the liaison with outsourcing and temporary staffing partners and be accountable for associated staffing metrics. Working with organizational leaders and hiring managers, the Director of Community Sourcing will leverage organizational and external resources to ensure that the ACS has a world class pipeline and that pipeline is used to efficiently and effectively fill critical roles for the Society.
Manage the effective and efficient hire of approximately 400 critical income development event staff, 100 patient service staff and 100 cancer information specialist staff through proactive management of outsourced recruitment.
Work with TS Leadership and ACS Management to proactively develop focused, time bound sourcing strategies and manage pipelines for specialized recruiting programs to target, attract and build pipelines for veteran and college programs, diverse and multicultural populations, specialized skill sets, and other talent needed to meet the income and/or demographic needs of the Society.
Work with recruiting staff and vendors (Superior RPO) to identify tailored candidate sourcing resources and best practices to ensure a continuous targeted and diverse candidate pipeline. (How we’ll find diverse candidates)
Serve as internal liaison to manage outsourcing and temporary staffing programs covering event support, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer team recruitment, Contractors and administrative positions.
Manage and provide guidance/oversight for Community Volunteer Services recruiting program including supervision of Consultant, Volunteer Recruitment.
Design and manage the enterprise Intern program including assessing viability, sourcing strategy, on-boarding, management and monitoring to ensure compliance with IRS and education institution requirements.
Lead social recruitment strategy including vendor contracts
Manage one resource for sourcing and leverage multiple resources to ensure appropriate use of pipelines
Serve as internal expert/resource to educate and guide other recruiters in diversity recruiting.
Work cross functionally with Diversity & Inlusion to plan and implement specialized recruitment programs to advance workforce diversity at all levels of the American Cancer Society.
Manage and Supervise two direct reports (Sourcing Specialist and Recruitment Specialist) 7+ Years previous recruiting experience in a fast paced, high volume recruiting environment.
3+ years supervisory experience
Expert level knowledge of recruiting sourcing, screening
Extensive experience with social media search engines, job aggregators, and applicant tracking systems
Experience with diversity and inclusion recruitment
Familiarity with EEO/OFCCP workforce analytics a plus
Ability to develop and utilize predictive hiring analytics
Website analysis and placement for optimal visibility/access to current openings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities, with emphasis on customer service.
Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
Strong attention to detail with excellent follow through.
Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
