Job Description
As Director - Channel Marketing, you will direct the planning and implementation of marketing programs or projects that support organizational marketing objectives for volume, revenue, profit, retention or satisfaction. Develop, design and redesign channel marketing programs and processes to provide added value and optimize channel. Develop strategies and tactics to meet the segment revenue objectives. Work cross functionally with the product, offer, and campaign teams. Support the Segment LT by working with them directly on marketing initiatives. Manage a team of Channel Managers.
Additional Responsibilities
Develop organizational policies and authorize implementation
Ensure that overall budget schedules and performance standards are realistically set and attained
Establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to subordinate managers
Create competitive channel strategies
Create channel marketing programs in order to enhance the productivity, revenues, and profitability of channels.
Manage channel marketing programs and processes to provide added value and to optimize channel effectiveness
Identifies new/emerging channels, resources, and intermediaries, and develops integrated strategies, plans, and programs to leverage these opportunities.
Evaluate impact on strategic distribution channels planning objectives and strategies.
Develop (product/segment) marketing & communication plans that encompass new product launch, advertisement, promotional programs, user events, webinars, tradeshows and other marketing campaign venues to help achieve P&L business objectives.
Participating in the new product launching team and develop Go-To-Market Plan for new product introduction
Develop sales training, collaterals, campaigns, and other tools for new product introductions, including identifying value proposition and competitive advantages
Identify opportunities and areas of need and develop promotional program to capture revenue opportunities or to defend sales opportunities
Education:
Bachelors or Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
Typically requires 10 or more years of experience and at least two years of management responsibility.
Supervisory: Yes.
Required Qualifications
Five years’ experience in a marketing or project management role
Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office products
Previous management experience
Ability to motivate and lead direct reports
Strong written and Verbal communication skills
Strong PowerPoint skills
Strong project management skills
Ability to clear a criminal background check, driver's license check and drug test
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or Computer Science
MBA degree
Eight or more years’ experience in a marketing or project management role
