Director Business Development Western Union San Francisco

Job Description
We are seeking a Director, Business Development who is obsessed with payments, technology and business strategy. Business Development at Western Union is responsible for negotiating partnerships that enhance our product offerings, generate new revenue streams, drive distribution of the WU brand online and offline, generate new users for the company, or otherwise add value to the Western Union user experience. The position is full-time and based in our office in San Francisco. This position will report to the VP of Business Development.

Responsibilities
Evaluate and explore strategic opportunities
Develop and drive partner strategy to grow Digital ecosystem via partners
Work with internal product/platform team on determining strategy and GTM (go-to-market) Plan with partner targets
Represent Western Union in meetings with senior executives from other companies
Serve as the primary partner contact for all business activities within partner list including pre-sales, legal and post-sales relationship management

Requirements
Proven commercial leadership with business development experience at start-ups and large consumer Internet / technology companies
Highly strategic and capable of driving internal stakeholders to a consensus on important issues
Comfort with a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous start-up environment
Knowledge of online business models and Internet/consumer/ technology
Proven track record with high standards of professionalism
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
Extensive negotiation experience, including comfort with legal aspects of negotiations
Prior experience working in a high-growth or start-up technology company preferred

Preferred qualifications
MBA degree.
10+ years of experiences Partner management experience together with international experience
Experience with developing go-to market plan and selling through channel partners.
