Director Account Global Technology RAPP New York City

Job Description
As Global Account Director, you are the business lead responsible for overseeing the development of global deliverables for a Fortune 50 technology client in the B2B space, through a confident understanding of client marketing and business context.

You coordinate teams to deliver recommendations that are strategically strong, financially sound and grounded in our client’s business objectives, data, analytics and worldwide cultural insights. You inspire your team and your colleagues to deliver great work - work that wins awards, generates marketing results, turns those results into institutionalized knowledge based on business understanding, industry and economics, and continually works to adapt and improve programs driving business outcomes for the agency and the client.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Client
Establish strong relationships between our global clients and agency teams
Keep track of industry trends and evolution of the IT B2B customer behavior across paid / owned and earned channels, particularly social media, programmatic and native media
Work with clients to push the boundaries with regards to creativity and innovation in the B2B space
Work closely with the other agency departments to develop and bring to life customer journey maps focusing on the drivers of behavior that will result in efficient communication plans for the client
Manage the team in delivering business context, helping form insights into the category, competitive environment, brand health, and customer understanding
Translate briefs into action, monitor progress throughout the agency and ensure delivery of desired results
Work with the agency and client regional teams to ensure deliverables are adaptable at the regional/country level
Support the Global Group Account Director to maximize results for the client and the agency’s profitability


Financials
Work closely with the Project Management team to ensure agency resource is matched appropriately to client scope
Identify areas for organic growth and work closely with all agency departments to convert pipeline projects into realistic and achievable client plans
Meet quarterly income and profit targets
Establish and communicate resource requirements from other departments and RAPP companies


Team
Lead a strong team by fostering an environment of openness, trust, reliance and energy
Conduct annual performance appraisals and meet regularly with your team to review their progress and provide structured feedback
Provide thorough ongoing coaching, mentoring and training, ensuring individual team members are empowered, motivated and accountable
Support the team by clarifying objectives, resolving problems and removing barriers
Raise the profile of the team internally and externally by recognizing and praising good work and encouraging team participation


Agency
Keep current on industry trends and stay informed about all aspects of the business in order to effectively market new services to clients
Share experience and best practices across teams
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships and use your influence to build consensus and support between the account team and other departments

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
8-10 years industry experience with growth within the Account Management discipline (with digital, integrated, demand generation and social media experience), and track record of successfully growing client businesses
Global account, technology and/or B2B experience
Ability to communicate complex digital marketing solutions in a clear and concise manner
Demonstrated capability and experience in managing and mentoring
Experience managing factors related to account profitability, client satisfaction and client retention
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
