Director Marketing Automation and Operations Electronic Arts Redwood City

Job Description
The Director Marketing Automation and Operations will be responsible for managing two critical areas within the larger Player Engagement team to accomplish fundamental mobile marketing objectives.
This role will be responsible for bringing strategic marketing automation expertise and CRM excellence to own and operate the operational backbone for all mobile marketing efforts. Our ideal candidate is an analytical and operational thinker, naturally curious and is expert in getting the most out of marketing automation systems to fuel innovative and effective marketing campaigns.
The successful candidate is entrepreneurial, a trailblazer, and can execute around BIG opportunities. This individual must be highly analytical, strategic, and have a proven track record in digital marketing operations and technology.

Responsibilities


Manage a team of 4 people to drive best of breed automated lifecycle programs based on input from Network Acquisition, CRM and EPM teams
Develop deep understanding of technology needed for Network Acquisition, CRM, EPM, Game teams and Product Marketing teams
Own our marketing technology infrastructure including vendor selection and roadmap development. Coordinate with IT, engineering/product, sales ops, finance, and vendor partners to support the needs of the business.
Assess predictive & automation models for segmenting users and triggering appropriate responses within the lifecycle framework
Merge related technologies to build the responsive player network
Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all systems and develop processes that best support our business needs. Be prepared to dig in to help troubleshoot and solve difficult data problems
Manage our marketing analytics and reporting. This will include the creation of dashboards and reports to measure end ­to ­end campaign effectiveness across acquisition campaigns, engagement, re-engagement and elite player campaigns
Work closely with publishing, marketing, product and engineering teams to deliver high converting and ROI-driven marketing campaigns
Continuously research and evaluate the competitive landscape, new tools and technology, and best practices employed in mobile games
Provide business requirements to teams leading technical integration for leading mobile technologies
Supervise the execution - production and localization- of all relevant digital campaign assets
Work with Analysts to formulate testing strategies and optimize campaigns around key business objectives and appropriate metrics
Promote innovation and efficiency by defining & executing relevant pilot projects



About you


5+ years of digital marketing technology/operations/marketing experience with experience managing campaigns as well as tactical implementation
Strong business acumen and the ability to synthesize and analyze data to identify trends and marketing opportunities
Strategic thinker with the ability to clearly articulate and implement focused plan
Strong analytical skills, with a proficiency in Excel
Strong understanding and experience with the iOS and Android marketplaces
Strong decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
Excellent project-management and time-management skills
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work well independently and within a team environment
Education: BA / BS required. MBA is a plus
SQL and/or Programming Experience a plus
