Senior Director - Program Management - PepsiCo - Purchase
Job description
The Program Management Sr Director will play an integral role in the PepsiCo Global Program Management Office.The Sr Director will be part of a small team focused on supporting implementation of the PepsiCo Operating Model that cross sectors, functions and other organizational boundaries.Specifically the scope of work will involve the development and implementation of internal best practices for program management including the facilitation of global program status, issue/risk management with sector PMOs, execution of program health check audits, implementation of continuous improvement program and project management efforts, and facilitation of the program issues and risk escalation process when senior executive involvement is required.
The Sr Director will also be involved in key cross organizational integration activities such as driving awareness and decision-making tied to programs that could impact timelines and addressing major issues/risks within select governance councils.The Sr Director must have a strong understanding of program and project management methodologies/tools and be capable of initiating related continuous improvement activities.This person should be capable of interfacing with and managing both internal and external stakeholders, effectively lead and drive change across the organization and succinctly communicate issues, opportunities and wins to senior management.
Key responsibilities:
Drive overall delivery for standing up the Category Model
Define and establish the Program Management plan that enables the management of program and project level timeline, quality and budgetary goals
Develops and facilitated a multi-tiered governance model to escalate issues / risks across global programs including the Global and Sector PMOs
Conduct global program health checks across Seven Keys of SuccessTM to identify risk areas and identify action plans to improve program/project success
Perform continuous improvement analysis by identifying program/project critical success factors and major challenges; Implement continuous improvement areas by rolling out updates to the existing program/project approach and related tools/templates (requires governance council facilitation)

Drive aspects of the PepsiCo Governance process (via participation or support) including, but not limited to monitoring and reporting out program and project status, major issues/risks requiring escalation and recommending changes to existing program/project management approach and related tools
Define business requirements for tool enhancements
Lead the development of program management standards withinternal stakeholders and manage subsequent implementation
Facilitate building a strong foundational PM team, methodology and tools
Build awareness within the business of the PM capability as part of the GPMO
Qualifications:
BS with 10+ years prior program management experience and/or consulting experience. Advanced degree preferred
Strong ability to translate and articulate program level issues/risks into decisions for escalation to executive team
Strong ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities based upon patterns across multiple program and/or projects
Strong ability to work with interdisciplinary teams including Change Management and Value Realization
Strong program and project value achievement scorecard development and establishment experience
Strong program management background to establish common tools and templates
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong PowerPoint and excel skills
Ability to influence Executive level stakeholders
Self-starter requiring minimal oversight
