Job description
Responsibilities

• Build and manage engineering development and operations to deliver common services and SDKs in support of business needs

• Hire smart and motivated engineers and managers to establish teams that can deliver with agility, quality and predictably


• Lead project scoping, roadmap, and architecture discussions with business stakeholders

• Manage budget including vendors and service providers.

• Promote a "DevOps" culture of quality, collaboration, rapid delivery

• Regularly dive into architecture, code, test plans, project plans, deployments and operations to drive excellence through your organization

• Mentor a large group of people and lead as a manager of managers with a direct handle on the pulse of each employee on your team

• Proven track record of using agile techniques to manage large scale and complex projects

• Thrive on tackling new challenges; your approach is to jump in with both feet and "roll up your sleeves"

• Successful track record of fostering an open and accomplishment-inspiring team environment.

• Drive continual process improvement across the engineering organization

• Be adept at building and maintaining strategic relationships with a diverse group of professionals

• Have experience with the automated deployment of systems, configuration management, system maintenance, and monitoring.

• Exceptional written, verbal and analytical skills, including the ability to concisely and accurately communicate to both engineers and senior management

• Have a bias for action and quality

Minimum Requirements And Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and managing teams that develop and operate large distributed systems

• 5+ years interacting regularly and directly with senior executives

• Hires and develops great people

• Demonstrated track record of managing team(s) who deliver results for technically demanding cross-organizational projects

• Demonstrated ability to formulate data driven decisions that lead to results

• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple project

• Excellent oral and written communication skills - demonstrated ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences including those at the senior leadership levels.

• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies
